Nominatim runs at one request per second with an identifying User-Agent, and every response is cached in Postgres for thirty days. Type an address and the pin lands on it. If nothing resolves, the pin still drops at the middle of the map with the address kept verbatim, so a place like a ferry pier entrance is never blocked by a geocoder. Raw lat, lng works here too.
